Spoof

Everyone needs 3 coins (any coins). You all put your hands behind your backs and select 0,1, 2 or 3 coins in your right hand. Keeping your left hand behind your back, present the right hand, without revealing its contents. The aim of the game is to guess how many coins are in the middle. This will depend on how many people there are. For example if there are 4 people there could be a maximum of 12 coins and a minimum of 0.

The leader starts by estimating how many coins are hidden in total in all the hands presented. So if there are 4 players the total could be anywhere between 0 and 12. The leader calls out a number and play moves round to the right, each player calling out in turn. No number may be repeated.

Once everyone has selected a different number, the hands are revealed. The person who correctly guessed the total (if anyone did) drops out. Play resumes, with the person to the left leading, until the ultimate loser is the last man in. It gets quite challenging when there are just two of you left and you're trying to bluff your opponent.

The loser has takes a forfeit.

:) :D ;) :'( :O :/ :( 8| :P :/ <3

I played this game with some english guys, in a bar, on Canarie Islands in 1990. We played with 2 coins and each time you "guessed" right you dropped a coin. When you have dropped both you were out (safe). Usually the looser bought a round of beer. It's such a great game. Can entertain for hours and only the bar counter lenght, or table size, limits how many can play

We play this game in the military all the time and once you bget the hang of it it is great. Unfortunately we are older and have more money and stupidity. Here are some examples of the spoofs we have done in the last 2 years:the first one out drew a picture and the loser got it tatooed (it was a dodgy lawnmower!), the first one out chose a place he would like to go to dinner and the loser paid for it,(6 of us went to Paris for the evening!)the first one out was a girl and said the loser would buy her something nice, so the loser bought her a beautiful necklace. The kist ges on. Obviously we are all single without the responsibilites and expense of kids to worry about, but it can be as innovative or cheap as you wish. It's just a good fun game!
